FAMILY OWNED & OPERATED
Roger Himes and his brother, Terry, opened Double H Welding on January 16, 1978. Before long, the Himes brothers went on to add steel erection to their business, and they spent a lot of time erecting Wal-Mart stores across the south.... even in their very own county, in Poteau, Oklahoma.
Today, Double H Welding no longer does steel erection, concentrating on providing quality welding for the citizens of LeFlore County and surrounding areas of S.E. Oklahoma and S.W. Arkansas.
Several years ago, Terry left the business to pursue other ventures. However, Roger has not been alone in the business very much over the years. Roger's father, Jack Himes, spent several years helping out at the shop. Wayne, Roger's eldest son, worked with his dad after school and during summer vacations. After graduating high school, he worked full-time with his dad for several years, before getting a job on the railroad.
Not to be left out, Heath, the youngest son, practically grew-up with a welding rod in his hand. He, too, learned the trade from his dad while still attending school; and started working full-time at the shop after high school graduation. Heath is a great asset to the business.
Roger and the family have always taken great pride in doing quality work, and treating their customers right.
Roger is a devout Christian. Not only is he a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Heavener; but he, also, took over as pastor of the church in December, 2001.
